As I browse the Internet reviewing online marketing forums the same question appears day in and day out, “How do I find cheap internet marketing resources?”

The responses are always the same because there are tried and true methods that work regardless of who you are, what field you are in or what product/service you are promoting. However, you must put the work in to get results!

Here are a few cheap internet marketing resources for beginners that are often mentioned in business marketing forums:

1. Article Marketing – You write an article (around 350 – 400 words) targeting a specific topic and key phrase. Your article should be informative and help people to gain more insight into the particular topic. At no time in the article should you start selling. You may be able to include a link to a product or service if it’s relevant to the content. Otherwise, you wait until you make your call-to-action at the end of the article. This is often called the “Resource Box.”

A resource box is your opportunity to get the reader to take whatever action you want them to take. You want to encourage the reader to click on the link you have in the resource box.

2. Press Release – Whenever you have an accomplishment with your business you need to write a press release. It doesn’t matter how small it may be to the world as it’s a big deal to you! Spread the word about your success. You can use free press release to get started.

3. Forums & Social Networks – When visiting forums and social networks you should focus on helping people and providing quality responses and insights. You should not attempt to advertise your products and services. That would be considered spam. The goal is to share what you know, develop a relationship and by doing that they will be inclined to click on your signature. Your signature is a small blurb with a link that points to whatever site you desire with every post you make. It’s easy to set up and should be the first thing you do after registering with a site.
