Drunk Driving, So I am a licensed professional counselor here in the state of PA and I was driving to my office to see show my office to someone that had an interest in sharing the space with me. As I was driving I was listening to the radio show personalities discussing this story about a 22 year old female that had killed three men while driving drunk. The men were on their way to work on what was supposed to be their day off, to earn extra money for their family. This 22 year old had two previous offenses and was at it again. I accept people when they come to my office for counseling with unconditional positive regard, however I will be the first to tell you that I am also not afraid to express my opinion about this situation, and I believe that this woman should get the maximum sentence on all three deaths! People were saying well she is only 22, who cares she took the life of three people who were innocently going to work to earn money for their families! There are natural consequences for all of our choices and age does not discriminate for that! She should not of been drinking and driving period. I have worked with people clinically that have lost loved ones and it impacts a person for sometimes way longer than 22 years, so I have to wonder why should age matter? SHe has not only impacted the lives  of the children but their now widowed spouses and their extended families!
