 New model for John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center
Our whole family is full of ambition. I'm the oldest of five siblings, me being the oldest. We all have these talents that we don't know what to do with.
I have three brothers and one sister.
My brothers can seriously put out an album. One knows how to produce/compose, one knows how to write lyrics and freestyle rap, and the other knows how to master the studio. And all three of them have this fierce talent in drawing/sketching wonderful art.
My sister and I are very close. Both of our 'hidden passions' are music, and the entertainment industry - NOT the adult kind.:)
Today, I was shared some wonderful news, and just wanted to show how proud I am by letting the world know.
A contract was signed the other day with John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center.
The owner of John Casablanca is also the owner of Elite Modeling - they work with a lot big fashion magazines like Elle and Vogue Magazine. This agency also helped model-turned-actress, Cameron Diaz; model, Naomi Campbell; model, Cindy Crawford and other well known models get into the 'big-time'.
I was so PLEASANTLY surprised when I found out my SISTER was accepted into the agency with a signed contract! This has been her dream and after going to an audition that she really didn't want to go to (and even arrived 15 minutes late), she nailed it, and they called her back!
They love her personality, her look because it's different, and now she is doing very comprehensive training sessions to excel at this industry.
More recently, she was told to audition for the next season of America's Next Top Model! Who knew! I am psyched. Today, I had to collect myself when she asked me "When are you going to come do this?"
I tell you she has inspired me in many ways. One of those ways is to realize that life is short. That I need to do what I always wanted to do: to make music, and the other, to act. (we were discouraged from it because we were told it was a 'no-brain' job). Cliche, I know, but we would be double trouble.
When my sister and I both tried out for our high school dance team we were the top two performers and were almost in. Unfortunately we were blackballed because the co-captain didn't like me. Such as life!
It didn't stop us though. Throughout high school we loved performing. We (including my brothers) did various talent shows at different schools. The next year my sister and I tried out for Dance Team again and made it together...even choreographing some routines for the team. We did all of this until we finished school.
For now, I will live vicariously through my sister, I am so proud of her. Once we return to the states, I will definitely take steps to doing what I feel is my therapy. Until then a big CONGRATULATIONS is in order for my baby sis. She is now a model with John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center!
