I've been in the MLM industry for 2-years and have seen many MLM Junkies and just couldn't believe it. Heck, I almost got caught up and became an MLM Junky until I woke up! Yep, I'm out of the game! :)

First, let's define what I call an MLM Junkie.

An MLM Junkie is someone who jumps from one MLM Opportunity to another without mastering the previous business and allowing it to consistenly generate a set desired amount of income.

Here's an example. Let's say I join Avon and after six months something new comes out that captures my attention. So, I will stay with Avon and dabble in the other phone service opportunity hoping to hit it big.

Six months later another opportunity is presented to me and I like it too! So, I'm still with Avon, still with my phone service company and about to join the third that deals with vitamins.

At the end of one year, I most likely spent more on fees to maintain those three MLM businesses than I made.

Therein lies the problem...

...the inability of an MLM Junkie to stay focused on one business.

What you will often hear is, "...but I'm developing multiple streams of income...".

For clarification purposes, multiple streams of income should be generated from the same core competencies.

So, my foray with Avon was fine until I decided to move away from the "core" service Avon provides and get involved with Phone services. Then I decided to mix in Vitamins.

As you can see, I am all over the place. Now help me out here but when have you done your best work being unfocused?

If you are truly interested in succeeding in MLM then stay focused long enough to generate the results you desire. Otherwise, at the end of 1, 2 or 3 years you will find you spent more than you made as an MLM Junkie.
