Power of Words

To get an idea of the Power of Words we have to go back to your childhood and recall a phrase that was common among children. Have an idea of what it is?

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me!"

As children we believed that but not wholeheartedly. We knew when someone said anything about us that was not nice it hurt.

Now as an adult you understand that words still can harm you but can cause you to do things that you
would have never imagine you would do.

A few years ago, I heard a sermon by Pastor Creflo Dollar that brought it home for me. I believe when you
read the following you will have a light-bulb moment too!

1. Words
2. Thoughts/Thinking
3. Feelings/Emotions
4. Decisions
5. Actions
6. Habits
7. Character
8. Destiny

Here's how it works...

...the words you hear or read or that you allow to infiltrate your mind has an impact on what you think
and how you see things.

Your thoughts then causes you to feel a certain way.

Your feelings cause you to make certain decisions based on what you are feeling.

Your decisions then cause you to take specific actions that are linked to a decision you made based on
what you were feeling and the words you heard.

Your actions over time begin to create daily habits.

Your habits will define your character. Your character is what people come to know about you as a person.

Finally, your character will take you to your destiny (whether good or bad).

The premise is everything starts with words.

So, if you have a problem it is recommended you go to the
root words that brought about the thoughts that affected your feelings that moved you to make a decision to take an action that created the habit, which became your character that brought you to your current destiny.

Please do not take my word for it....

...work through it yourself and see if it true for you!

It's easy to blame others for your uninformed decisions. Yet, if you were completely honest with yourself you would realize the only consistent thing in all of your situations (good and bad) is you!

Something has to change within you! Are you ready to take responsibility for your life and the words you allow to enter your mind? Or will you still see yourself as a victim? The Power of Words is real!

Until next time!
