 For anyone trying to succeed in the multi-level marketing (mlm) industry, there are a number of strategies that can either make or break your business, depending on the way you approach them. Perhaps the most obvious and important is to have is a quality MLM lead generation strategy to follow. While few people would disagree that a good method or blueprint is vital, there are a lot of different ideas about how to achieve such results. There are both traditional methods and newer, more technologically advanced ones, and while it may seem counterintuitive to abandon the so-called tried and true, modern times call for modern methods of developing a methodology to best meet your business's needs.
My First Attempt At Success
When I first got started in network marketing, I didn't go the traditional route. In other words I didn't follow my upline's, so-called, path to success. They wanted me to buy leads and cold call them, talk to my friends and family, and even proposition random people on the street: everyone within three feet is considered fair game. That simply just was not my personality. But I stuck around because I believe in the mlm industry, and I had a passion for the product I was promoting. So I went online and found a website where I can blast my ads to all the major newspapers in the country. Although, I started to get some success using this method, I still was not happy with the results. I wanted MASSIVE growth.
The Solution That Changed My Life
The newspaper idea worked well. I got a ton of leads and a good number of sign-ups. However, the monthly fee for that service was way too high, so I canceled my subscription and continued on my quest for exponential growth. I decided to take my business to the internet, which was a HUGE step. I was deafly afraid of the internet and thought I had to be a computer whiz to succeed. Boy was I wrong.
Although it could have been easy for me to become discouraged because I thought I could not succeed on the internet, I simply refused to let my fears of the world-wide web come between me and my dreams of having success in mlm. One of the things I discovered while doing the newspaper postings, is that the quality of the leads and subscribers were a bit poor. So I knew I needed some kind of quality mlm lead generation system that will sort and sift the leads for me. I needed a methodology that qualified the leads and gave me a picture, so to speak, of what this prospect is all about. But, how does one find such a system? Does it actually exist?
The answer to that question is a resounding, YES! I found a methodology that not only qualified the leads for me, but it actually monetized them as well. You see, during my search, I found out that 90 - 95% of the people that approach you about your business (via the internet) wont join your business. However, if your quality mlm lead generation method has a sales funnel of some sort, you can sell them various products that will help them along the way in their journey to success. So whether they join you in business or not, you still profit. Pretty slick, eh? Yeah, I thought so too. When I found this secret, my business went from, basically breaking even (with the newspaper method) to the success I was looking for. I now generate 20 - 50 leads per day, have at least 2 - 5 sign-ups per week, and dont have the ridiculous overhead I had while I was using the newspaper system.
Success in mlm came to me because of my desires. Failure was not an option. I saw way too many unhappy people in corporate america to stick around any longer. I believe that is the kind of dedication we all need to have in order to achieve the results we want. I thank my maker everyday for giving me the foresite to continue on my journey. Had that not been the case, I probably would have been on the unemployment line, in this terrible economy, like so many other americans.
