 You need Work from Home Business Support and Help from your family if you expect to have a peaceful journey while running your business from home.
The truth is most people, including your family, will not understand the "why" behind what you desire to accomplish by running a home based business.
In their eyes, it's easier for you to go out and get a job! Or, they will wonder why you work a job during the day and then come home and work another job running your business.
All they seem to see is what they are losing or not getting (i.e., decrease in time spent with you, less attention from you and so on). Where you see the long term benefits of your actions.
You must learn how to balance everything or your personal life will go up in flames really quick before you know it. Yet, your family will have to understand that it will take a tremendous amount of time and effort to produce results.
Working from home is not easy but it is very rewarding when you have a plan and several backups too!
Here's what I learned over the years that may assist you to run a home based business:
- Most people will not see your vision
- Most people will be dead set against you but only because they fear the worse
- Most people will be jealous because you took action when they didn't
- You may have to take this journey alone for a little while until you can show results
Let me elaborate on #4!
Many people talk about their dreams but rarely take action. So, when other's hear about the dreams and do not see results they tend to write people off as a dreamer. Consequently, when you share your dreams with someone they may write you off based on past experience.
What I have found to be helpful is to share those dreams with people who have already achieved similar dreams. They will provide you with tips and insights that will help you.
These people will feed your dream and not kill them with doubt. That's important during the first two to three years as you will have so many obstacles to overcome.
Once you begin to get results the naysayers will rally around you. They will think your success will rub off on them without them having to do the work (i.e., asking for handouts instead of a hand up, etc.).
This is sad to say but many people could care less about you until you have something they want, which could be...
- Status
- Success
- Money, etc.
People will want to know your secret. When you tell them it was...
- Perserverance
- Patience
- Holding steadfast to your dreams no matter what
...they will not believe you! But if you tell them a lie they will believe you! Don't believe me?
Have you ever told someone the truth and they didn't believe you then you decided to tell them what they wanted to hear and they beleived you? A lot of people want to hear lies or hype instead of the truth. Don't believe me?
Take a look around you and I bet you can come up with at least three social networking sites, products or services that launched within the last six months that was all the rave and had the forums buzzing! Where are they now?
